Sacred Music Festival in Fez

EVENT Since 1994, the Festival of Sacred Music remains true to its goal to promote universal peace and unite people. Organized by the spirit Foundation, it takes place this year from 7th to 15th of June, headlining the concert will be Patti Smith, Ana Moura and Amina Alaoui.

Historically, Fez has always been in a city of cultural influences, artistic and spiritual. The capital of the Kingdom, it has a rich heritage and the perfect place for a festival such as the Sacred Music Festival. Born in 1994, the festival has gradually grown to become an eagerly awaited event by all. To support the festival, an international network has formed in the United States and every two years a program across 20 cities is organized in the US and cities such as Milan, Madrid and London, spreading the message of spirituality and peace through music. 

Each year musicians from different backgrounds get on stage, at the great Oak gardens of the Batha and Bab Makina Palace. Directed by Faouzi Skali, the festival received in previous years, artists such as Bjork, Abd Al Malik, Ben Harper, Joan Baez, Youssou N'Dour and many more names. 

The 2013 Edition: 

The theme of this 19th edition is "Andalusian Fez", artists in attendance will be Patti Smith, Paco de Lucia, Ana Moura, Amina Alaoui, Dominique A, Assala Nasri and many more names. In addition the concerts, films and exhibitions will also be shown.
